A brief introduction
I wanted to share with you all the day I had at Hurds Hill in Langport, Somerset a couple of weeks ago for my first ever wedding styled shoot!

As you may know, I haven’t been part of the wedding scene for very long, so when the lovely Jen Celebrant reached out and asked if I wanted to be the stationer for this day, I was elated.
I have a goals list that I want to achieve for my business, and work hard towards achieving. Being part of a styled shoot was one of those goals. I didn’t think I would achieve this one so quickly, and I am over the moon that I was able to take part in such a fantastic day.
Aside from the fact of it being an absolutely fantastic day to be a part of, and me being able to tick off one of my Inkspiration by Gabrielle business goals, this styled shoot is going to be featured within the August/September issue of Your Bristol and Somerset Wedding Magazine. HOW BRILLIANT IS THAT?!?
Hurds Hill have recently decided that they would like to start hosting weddings at their lovely house based in Langport, and Jen agreed to help make that happen. She contacted a handful of amazing suppliers, listed below with links to their Instagram pages, and we all got together to make this day unforgettable to capture the essence of Hurds Hill, and all of our work.

My Wedding Stationery Work
As I mentioned above, I had never been to a styled shoot before, and I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but I was so lucky to have amazing wedding suppliers around me showing me the ropes and allowing me to get stuck in with what needed to be done to help style the venue, showcase my work, and make it feel special to capture the essence of the vintage 1920’s wedding theme we were going for.
I felt incredibly lucky that the absolutely fantastic photographer, Jake Janes, took so much time to take some truly beautiful photos of my stationery work, which are shown below:

More About Hurds Hill, Langport, Somerset

Taken from the Hurds Hill Website:
Hurds Hill is a Regency country house with Victorian and later additions. It was the home of Langport’s most famous resident, Walter Bagehot, who is regarded as one of the 19th century’s most influential writers on government, the constitution, banking and finance. He was editor of the Economist for 16 years from 1860 to 1876.
The present owners acquired the property in 2011 and have spent two years renovating the house, which now offers modern meeting rooms and residential accommodation. The house is set in 5 acres of private and peaceful grounds with far-reaching views over the Somerset Levels.
There are 15 individually designed bedrooms, themed to house the owners’ eclectic collection of furniture, pictures and books. The experience is not like the usual anonymous, bland conference facility, but more like staying in a private house, with everything you need for a successful business meeting in a relaxed environment.
